Hell and no A/C

Our a/c broke on Friday and when we called to get it repaired (it's only just over a year old) they already left for the holiday weekend.  AAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!  So fucking hot!  The house was in the 90s during the day and cooled off into the 80s at late night.  We stayed in a hotel on Friday night.  Tried to brave it Saturday night.  Stayed in a hotel Sunday night.  Stayed at my neighbor's last night.  Hopefully, the company can come out today to fix it.

Oddly enough, when I called the hotels to book the rooms they told me that there were a lot of people in our position who either loss power or a/c.

I feel for you two, I couldn't imagine living without air conditioning during the past three day weekend.
And I hope you're "not very forgiving" when you call the a/c people today, having the system give out so early in it's life is so rare and they should compensate you for at least some of the hotel fees.

I've never had the luxury of air conditioning - never would have thought people would go to the extremes of staying in a hotel, but I guess I can understand after the scorcher weekend we just had!!

The funny thing is, all I want to do is sleep in the heat (with a fan blowing on me of course). My boyfriend CAN'T sleep in this heat so while I was being ultra unproductive, he was waking up, getting work done at 5 in the morning (in normal weather, he usually sleeps in till 11 or noon on weekends).
